FCS Professional Organizations
IFCSEP (Iowa Family and Consumer Sciences Educators for Progress)
The FCS link to the umbrella organization for career and technical
education-ACTE (Association for Career and Technical Education). The collaborative partnership between the IFCSEP
Key leaders (FCS representatives from each AEA), Kristie Kuhse (conference coordinator), and the Iowa Department of Education, plan
the state FCS teachers conference held in July in West Des Moines. Check out the membership application and join other
FCS professionals across the state!
In addition, all Iowa
career and technical teachers are encouraged to become members of the national association and attend the Iowa Career and
Technical Conference (IACTE).
